RequirementsIn order to become a Lifeguard in the State of North Carolina and work as a certified Lifeguard, you must pass the following Prerequisite criteria and obtain certification from qualified schools or courses.
Lifeguard Training Prerequisites
|
CertificationsThere are three certifications you must have. The first is lifeguard training. This is evidence of the fact that you have passed the basic lifeguarding course. Typically, Basic Lifeguarding and First Aid are certified together.
The second certification proves that you have attained training in first aid. First aid training has an immense importance in the profession, since lifeguards provide medical services in the cases of emergency. The third certification proves that you have been trained in CPR/AED. Without this, you will not be considered as a certified lifeguard. |
